Services ordered from the venue
Electrical power, internet, plumbing and similar booth services are normally ordered from the official venue or show contractors. ET Expo works out what the booth needs, prepares a service-location plan and helps with the order forms and their deadlines.
Rigging and hanging signs
Overhead work is usually carried out by the venue's authorized rigging provider. Before it is approved, the drawings, weights, attachment details and electrical needs of hanging signs, suspended structures and lighting truss are reviewed against the order deadline.
Drayage
Drayage, or material handling, is the show contractor's service for receiving freight at the dock, moving it to the booth, storing empty crates and returning them after the show. It is separate from the freight itself. ET Expo can help review the estimate, the forms and the deadlines.
Documents and compliance
- exhibitor and EAC forms
- certificates of insurance
- booth drawings and fire-safety documents
- service orders and their published deadlines
Materials, structural details and fire-safety documentation are checked against the venue rules before production and installation; engineered or double-deck exhibits may need additional calculations, stamps or approvals.
Common question
Who submits each order? The proposal's responsibility matrix states whether ET Expo or the exhibitor submits and pays for each service, and the exhibitor approves anything submitted in its name.
