NRF 2027: Retail's Big Show is the National Retail Federation's January show at the Javits Center in New York, and its Expo is where retail-technology vendors demo checkout, AI, supply-chain and store systems to retailers. ET Expo designs the booth, fabricates it in-house, ships it to Javits and installs and dismantles it.
Show facts
- NRF 2027: January 10-12, 2027, Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, New York City
- Who attends: More than 41,000 retail industry professionals; attendees must be 18 or older
- Expo passes: The Retail Expo Pass is free for retailers until December 30, 2026; non-retail Expo passes are paid and limited per company
- Selling rule: No soliciting outside your booth space (suitcasing) without NRF's written approval
- Organiser: National Retail Federation (NRF)
Planning a booth for this show
- Store-style demos: POS, self-checkout, shelf and AI systems shown the way a retailer would use them, in a mock store section rather than on a bare counter.
- A buyer-heavy floor: retailers get a free Expo pass if they register by December 30, so plan meeting seats and a quiet corner for real buying conversations.
- All selling in the booth: suitcasing in the aisles is prohibited, so the booth needs enough counter and meeting space for your whole sales team.
- January timing: design sign-off, fabrication and freight are scheduled around the December holidays so crates reach Javits on time.
- Reuse: custom frames and graphics can be stored and reused for next year's show or other retail events.
