Trade Show Booth Design in Portland, Oregon
ET Expo designs, builds, ships and installs custom and rental trade show booths for exhibitors at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon, the Metro-owned center on NE Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard.
The OCC has 255,000 sq ft of contiguous, column-free exhibit space in Halls A through E, all under a 30 ft ceiling; combined, the halls hold about 1,393 10x10 booths. Freight comes in through 18 loading bays with levelers on NE First Avenue, backed by 8,000 sq ft of indoor dock space and three drive-in ramps down to the hall floor, so large crates and lifts roll straight in. TriMet MAX light rail stops outside the main entrances every 15 minutes and runs to PDX, eight miles away. Our part is the booth itself: design with 3D renderings, in-house fabrication, graphics and LED walls, freight coordination, installation and dismantling.

Can we ship our booth directly to the Oregon Convention Center?
No. The OCC does not accept or ship exhibitor freight or drayage; the booth ships to the show decorator, and we route it that way.
Who hangs a sign at the OCC, and when are plans due?
ON Site Audio Visual is the exclusive rigger. Rigging plots with per-point weights are due at least 30 days before move-in, and signs may not have a solid fabric underside.
Can our booth have a roof or an enclosed meeting room?
Canopies larger than 10x10 need fire marshal approval and a working smoke detector, and any enclosed structure over 100 sq ft needs a smoke detector too.
How high is the ceiling in the OCC exhibit halls?
The venue guide lists 30 ft for Halls A through E. The show's own booth-height rules still apply, so we check both before designing.
